Ann C. Pfahler, 71, of Altoona, passed away peacefully on Friday. She was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Cyrene (Brunken­hoefer) Collins.

She was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend whose love of life was evident in all she did. She lived a life marked by generosity, curiosity and a deep love for the people around her.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Gary F. Pfahler; her father, Joseph B. Collins Jr.; her mother, Cyrene F. Collins; and her sister, Victoria A. Drobner.

She is survived by her brothers, Joseph B. Collins III and his wife, Luisa, and James M.Collins; her sister, Yvonne M. Colache and her husband, Steve. She also leaves behind her special friend, Robert Ellis. Ann is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who will remember her warmth, humor and unwavering support.

A proud 1972 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and a 1976 graduate of Texas Lutheran College, Ann carried her love of learning throughout her life. She found joy in reading, traveling, shopping and opening her heart to family and friends; always ready to laugh and making everyone feel loved and appreciated.

Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Ann will be remembered for her generosity, kindness and her spirited personality.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at Zion Lutheran, 500 Allegheny St,, Hollidaysburg, with the Rev. David Bowman.

Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
