Sister Marie Elizabeth Krug

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert Krug and Mary Mildred (Flick) Krug, as well as a sister Reta Brauchler.

She is survived by siblings: Ruth Parsons, Leo Krug, Walter Krug, James Krug, Earl Krug, Angela Carver and Lawrence Krug. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Mount Aloysius Academy, Cresson. In 1959, she entered the Carmelite Order, Loretto. She later helped with the foundation of the Carmelite Monastery of Latrobe, where she served the remainder of her life.

A viewing will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at Carmel Of the Assumption, 5206 Center Drive, Latrobe.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, in the monastery chapel. A short viewing will take place prior to the Mass.
