Shad M. Mayhue, 54, of Logan Township, died unexpectedly on Dec. 17, 2025, at his home. He was born in Tyrone, son of the late Rudy Mayhue and Irene M. (O'Shell) and Donnie Wertz.
Surviving are his two sisters, Jill M. (Dave) Kephart and Lindsay C. Wertz; nieces and nephew: Alexis, Lynnette (Griffen), Dryden and Jayde; great-nieces and great-nephew: Sophia, Aleena and Hudson.
Shad was a 1990 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and was employed as a behavior health technician at Pyramid Healthcare.
He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to heavy metal and rock music. While growing up, he enjoyed watching old movies and later became a fan of Star Wars. He liked fishing, checking the weather forecast and loved visiting his favorite city, Pittsburgh. Shad was a great babysitter, as he loved hanging out with Jayde and all of his nieces and nephews. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A celebration of his life will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Gray officiating.
