Marjorie E. "Margie" (Edwards) Snyder, 90, of Altoona, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior early Saturday morning after a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Watson N. and Margaret V. (Feathers) Edwards.
Surviving are five children: daughter, Betty L. Polito (Crist); son, Rick Snyder; son, Chuck Snyder; daughter, Kathy Benz (Bob); and daughter, Deb Frick-Arnsparger; 14 grandchildren: Christina, Chad (Thea), Curt, Ebony, Trena (Don), Ronnie, Missy (John), Shane (Tiffany), Angel, Charleigh, Joshua, Margaret (Scott), Ashleigh (Eric) and Colton (Dawn); 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by six siblings: Joe, Bob, Mary, Grace, Sam and Carl; a son-in-law, Jack Arnsparger; and a special niece, Susan Diehl.
She was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School.
Margie was an avid Scrabble player. She loved reading her Bible daily and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She expressed her love through cooking and baking, finding fulfillment in sharing with others.
She volunteered as a TV hostess at the former Mercy Hospital, Altoona.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at noon, with the Rev. Tyler Pepper officiating. Interment will be made at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
