Joanne Helsel

Joanne Helsel, 76, of Duncansville, passed away Friday after a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Carl D. and Minnie I. (Rollason) Helsel.
Joanne is survived by her sister, Deborah Helsel Carothers and husband, Scott, of Anderson, S.C.; two nieces, Laura Graham and Elisa Carothers; and her great-niece, Leslie Graham.
She was a charter member of the ACEL (Adult Center for Exceptional Learning) program.
There will be no visitation or services.
Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
Interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park.
