James E. Korman, 90, Altoona, passed on Thursday, peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edward and Ida (Reffner) Korman.
On March 19, 1960, he married Dorothy (Hollen) Korman at Hollentown Assembly of God.
Surviving are his children, Vonda K. and David J. (Amy) Korman; and three grandchildren: Rachel, Erin and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by seven siblings: George, Edward Jr., Thelma, Margaret, Leslie and Gene.
He graduated from Altoona High School in 1957. James officially retired after being a parking attendant at Gables for more than a decade. He then worked as a volunteer for Blair Senior Services for 25 years, which he enjoyed greatly and made lifelong friends.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
