Gerald E. ‘Gerry’ McDaniels Jr.

Gerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Geane (Bradley) McDaniels. Also surviving are his children: Timothy Sr. (Becky), Samantha (William) and Emily; grandchildren: Melanie, Sebastian, Timothy Jr. and Zoey; and siblings: Sherril Sheehan (Martin), Maureen Leighty (Ron) and Brian McDaniels (Debbie).

Gerry worked as a master electrician for many years at Mid-State Electric, where he and his family enjoyed many years traveling the country, seeing new places and making new friends.

After his retirement, he became a devoted delivery driver for the Altoona Mirror. He will be remembered by many as a hard worker all throughout his life.

Gerry was known for his intelligence, often found doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku, reading, and tinkering with odd jobs around the house. In his spare time, he also loved riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing. Most of all, Gerry cherished spending time with his family.

Gerry fought a hard battle with cancer, and he is finally at peace.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
