Hazlett

Donna J. Hazlett, 80, Antis Township, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, late Monday evening at her home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Rosemary (Daughtry) Cooper.

On Aug. 28, 1964, she married Joseph M. Hazlett at United Brethren Church in Altoona.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband; her two children, J. Chris Hazlett and Lisa R. (Jim) Kephart; two grandchildren, Amanda and Joey; three great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Jayce and Javien; and a brother, Michael Cooper.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Raymond Jr. "Dude," Norman and Gordon "Buck" Cooper.

She was a 1962 graduate of Altoona High School and retired as office manager at Joseph M. Hazlett Plumbing Inc.

She was a member of Riggles Gap Bible Church.

Her many enjoyments included going on shopping excursions, watching QVC, reading and listening to country and gospel music. She had a love of all animals, but especially for her cats.

Donna had a very big heart and was a "Mom" to so many people. Her passion for helping others was evident with her willingness to donate to those in need including fire victims, kids backpack programs and making monetary donations where needed.

Above all, her greatest love was being with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at Riggles Gap Bible Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Pastor Elijah Tower and Pastor John Leatherman officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.

The family suggests that contributions in Donna's memory be made to a charity of choice.
