Donald Eugene Conrad, 86, Lovely, went home to be with the Lord on Friday at his residence.
He was born in East Freedom, son of the late George and Isabelle (Burk) Conrad.
On June 10, 1960, he married to Patricia Holsinger on June 10, 1960, in the Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia; two daughters, Katrina Mellott of Everett and Kristina Farley and husband, Ken; a son, Donald J. and wife, Carolyn; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Conrad, all of Lovely; a sister, Judy Glass of East Freedom; 10 grandchildren: Richelle Ross and husband, Andrew, of New Paris; Janelle Conrad of Alum Bank, Brandon Conrad and wife, Taylor, of Alum Bank, Sam Conrad of Lovely, Jack Conrad and wife, Lynette, of Lovely, Trenten Mellott of Everett, Nickylla Maine of Lovely, Lacy Kennedy and husband, Kenton, of Claysburg, Lee Maine and wife, Melea, of New Enterprise, Elizabeth Heisey and husband, Brandon, of Osterburg; and 13 great-grandchildren: Avery Ross, Athena Ross, Ariella Ross, Ashton Ross, Branson Heisey, Kirstin Heisey, Nevada Grace Maine, Ashton Maine, Destiny Hope Haun, Nova Lee Maine, Hazel Conrad, Blake Conrad and Elisa Conrad.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David A. Conrad; brothers, Richard Conrad, Jack Conrad and Thomas Conrad; and a sister, Sandra Conrad.
Donald was a member of Faith Brethren Bible Church, New Paris, where he served as a deacon. He worked as a cabinet maker for Samuel Beegle, Roaring Spring, for many years and then opened a taxidermy shop in McKee for 50 years. He was a leader of the Boys Club at Foot of Ten Independent Bible Church of Duncansville for 10 years. Family and God were his whole life.
There will be no funeral service. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at Faith Brethren Bible Church, 120 Chestnut Ridge Road, New Paris, Pastor Jim Espenshade, officiant. A meal will follow.
