Charles ‘Charlie’ Benedetto

Surviving are his grandchildren: Ryan (Kelsey Moore) Snyder and Trevor (Addy Whitmer) Snyder, both of whom were raised in his home, and Michael, Harlee and Damian Espigh, Maura McClellan and David McCloskey; many great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Josephine Fortney and Jane Woods.

He was preceded in death by his life partner, Gloria “Goldie” Quarry; and five siblings: Albert, Pat, Paul and David Benedetto and Elizabeth Richmond.

Charlie was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was owner and operator of Benedetto Ricotta Cheese and Raviolis, Antis Township. Charlie enjoyed hunting, trapping, farming and raising his cows.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. Interment with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.

The family suggests that contributions in his memory be made to a charity of choice.
