Waneta Ruth Kimberly, 100, passed away to be with her Lord on Thursday. She was born in Plumville, daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Kingston.
She married the late Jack Leroy Kimberly Sr. on Feb. 25, 1950, in Reedsville. They were married for 59 years.
Waneta is survived by her children: Jack Jr. (Karen), Jill (Bob), Ronald (Patty) and Stanley (Nina); eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a daughter, Mary Jane; a granddaughter, Jaclyn; her parents, Bernard and Mary; three sisters, Louise, Sarah and Evelyn; and six brothers: Raymond, Charles, Joseph, Ralph, Pete and George.
Waneta attended Beaver Valley United Christian Church since she was a child.
She was a vibrant, funny, patient, energized and caring individual who loved being with people.
Waneta will be remembered for her kind and compassionate heart, her unwavering faith and her lifelong dedication to helping others. Her legacy of love, service and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Waneta celebrated her 100th birthday on June 27, 2025. She celebrated with more than 180 family members and friends. Waneta said at 100 years old, she had lived a blessed life.
She enjoyed working in her garden, mowing her yard and visiting casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed her time with her family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
May her soul be eternally joyful.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Beaver Valley United Christian Church, 1780 Beaver Valley Road, Flinton, PA 16640, with Pastor Dean Dietrick officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Valley United Christian Church or Grane Hospice Care.
