Terrance J. "Terry" Barr, 82, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late James and Margaret (Rafferty) Barr.
Surviving are his wife of more than 30 years, Nancy (Finegan); five daughters: Sheryl Barr, Nancy Martz, Danise Donaldson, Bobbi Jo Brumbaugh and Michelle Harker; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a niece, Lucy Goodwin.
Terry was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph; and two sisters.
He graduated from Altoona High School, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 30 years.
Terry enjoyed teaching children to read at the Altoona Area Public Library. He was an avid pool player and a former member of the Altoona Boxing Club.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at noon with Pastor Steve Brumbaugh officiating.
Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
