Sophia Marie Chyr

Sophia Marie Chyr, 14, of Lilly, passed away Sunday. She was born in Lewistown, the daughter of Joseph and Charina (Myers) Chyr. Preceding her in death were her maternal grandmother, Gloria Jean Myers; and paternal grandfather, Joseph M. Chyr Sr. Surviving are her parents; brothers, Isaiah Joseph and Elijah Michael; maternal grandfather, Earl Myers; paternal grandmother, Leslie Chyr; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home Inc., Gallitzin, with a service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sophia’s family.
