Shirley J. Semelsberger, 89, formerly of Patton, passed away Monday at Saint Benedict Manor. She was born in rural Patton, a daughter of Raymond and Syvlia (Ivory) Link.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William P. Semelsberger Jr.; brothers, Edward and Wilford Link; and sisters: Leona Biter, Katherine Bender, Dorothy Hoover, Ruth Miller, Cora Link, Delores Adams and Roberta Stoltz. Shirley was the last living member of her family.
She is survived by children: Patty (Rick) Zupon and Paul and Perry Semelsberger; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Merile Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley worked at Van Heusen shirt factory in Patton for 27 years, and at Carol Ann Fashions in Hastings for 17 years. She retired in July 1996.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing, traveling and camping.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Saint Benedict Manor and the 365 Hospice nurses for all their loving care.
Family and friends will be received from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 Fifth Ave., Patton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Queen Of Peace Catholic Church, Patton.
