Sara Jane (Barrett) Clark, 99, of Imler, formerly of Warriors Mark, passed away Monday. She was born in Juniata, Altoona, daughter of the late James E. Barrett and Sarah E. (Ayers) Barrett.

She married George Stanley Clark on July 16, 1944, in Altoona. He passed away on Feb. 24, 2012, ending a 67-year marriage.

Surviving is a son, Stanley W. Clark (Connie) of Imler; two granddaughters, Sarah Kathleen Hoffman (John) of Edmond, Okla., and Angel D. Ritchey (companion, Rich) of Central City; five great-grandchildren: John (Kiley), Zach, Emma and Allison Hoffman, and Mya Ritchey; and a great-great-grandson, Grayson Hoffman. Sara is also survived by a sister, Margaret Malovich of Bellwood.

She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Grace Ritchey; four sisters; and two brothers.

Sara was a graduate of Altoona High School, Class of 1944. She retired from Penn State University in 1985.

Sara was a member of Upper Claar Church of the Brethren and former member of Spring Mount Church of the Brethren.

She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and assisting with Bible school. She especially enjoyed her family and church family, reading and crossword puzzles.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Mark Wyland officiating. A luncheon will follow the services.

Interment will be at Spring Mount Cemetery, Warriors Mark.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local food bank in memory of Sara.
