Philip C. Barroner, 75, Williamsburg, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Edward “Art” and Alice Jean (Irvin) Barroner.

On Oct. 4, 1980, he married Diana M. Wolfe at Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Altoona, sharing 45 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Diana; a daughter, Veronica; grandchildren: Brandon, Breanne (Allen), Dylan (Jess), Scotlyn, Jeremy, Courtney (Justin), Cody and Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Chase, Paisley, Harley, Lucas, Braxton, Lilly Jo, Tristan, Justin Jr., Abel, Caiden, Weston, Waylon and Maggie Beth, who is on the way; stepmother, Gerri Barroner; and stepbrother, Teddy McDowell. He is also survived by his beloved pets: Kenz, Rigatoni and Tonka.

He was preceded in death by children: Michael, Jeannie and Scott; and a sister, Cindy.

Philip was a proud graduate of Williamsburg Community High School, Class of 1969, and retired as a trackman from Conrail/Norfolk Southern.

He was a member of Grace Pointe Community Church, Williamsburg.

An avid hunter, particularly fond of and skilled in archery, Philip enjoyed gardening and the thrill of foraging for morel mushrooms. He was passionate about sports, supporting the Williamsburg Blue Pirates, Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Philip treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In recent years, he took pride in discovering and embracing his Scottish heritage.

Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Grace Pointe Community Church, 815 Yellow Springs Drive, Williamsburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. The family warmly invites attendees to come as they are, encouraging everyone to wear Philip’s favorite colors: black, gray, camouflage or a flannel shirt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Pointe Community Church or to the Williamsburg Community Fire Department, Station 90.
