Michael John Galbraith

Michael John Galbraith, 81, formerly of Roaring Spring, went home Tuesday at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Wilbert C. and Anna Mae (Roberts) Galbraith.

Michael married April Urbanic on Dec. 21, 1968.

He is survived by his wife, April, of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Paul Galbraith and wife, Renee, and Brian Galbraith and wife, Amy; and three grandchildren: Andrew and wife, Heather, Hannah and Daniel.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David.

Michael was a graduate of Highland High School in Medina, Ohio, and Ohio State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in animal science.

He retired from Cargill in 2007 after 36 years of service.

Michael was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed traveling, making memories with his grandkids and teaching farm safety.

He belonged to both the Morrison Cove and Mechanicsburg Rotary, the Boy Scouts of America and the American Forage and Grassland Council.

Michael was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg and was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, with the Rev. Charles Baughman and the Rev. Ryan Gephart officiating. Interment will be made at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, 434 E. Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673; or Hope United Methodist Church, 6260 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
