Master Sgt. Clair D. Hinkle, U.S. Army (Ret.), 84, formerly of Somerset and Saxton, died Wednesday. He was born in Saxton, son of the late Elvin and Susan (Boose) Hinkle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annamary; and four siblings. Surviving are children, Erika Caley and Duane Walsh; four grandchildren; and siblings: Doris, Barry, Patsy and Shelby. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, at Six Mile Run Church of God, 1281 Main St.
