Mary M. Stevens, 92, of Gallitzin, passed away Nov. 22, 2025, at UPMC Altoona. Born March 21, 1933, in Gallitzin, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Edna (Smeltzer) Larson.
She was preceded in death by husband, Francis T. "Futz" Stevens; daughter, Geraldine "Geri" Woleslagle; grandson, Gregory J. Vinglas, Jr.; brothers, Louis, Jr. and Kenneth Larson; and son-in-law, Steve Vinglas.
Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters: Debra "Debbie" Vinglas, Christine (Dave) Klisiewicz and Francine (Doug) Burk; son-in-law, Robert "Jim" Woleslagle; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Betty Michelangelo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary worked as a presser at the former Shirt Factory in Gallitzin. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and grandkids.
As per Mary's wishes, there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
