Mark Leonard Watson

He was a Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant at Centra Heart and Vascular Institute – Stroobants Cardiovascular.

Mark served our country in the United States Navy and was a proud member of North Bedford Baptist Church.

He enjoyed tending to animals on the family farm, Fields of Faith, as well as spending his free time on or by the lake. He was always working on new projects or tending to others with kindness and compassion. It was his specialty. His greatest joy came from time spent with family.

Mark is survived by his wife, Denise; three daughters: Amerisa Marie Hoffman (Connor), Raegan and Rylee Watson; two grandchildren, Paxton and Baylor Hoffman, as well as another grandson expected in December; three brothers: Shawn Watson (Lori), Jason Watson and Adam Watson (Adria); three sisters: Kelly Dixon, Kandy Coble (Ralph) and Kim Irwin (Thomas).

He has joined his granddaughters, Keagan and Kinley, in eternal glory.

A memorial service and celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at North Bedford Baptist Church. The burial with military honors will be at the church cemetery immediately after the service.
