James A. Satterfield, 91, of Saxton, passed away Saturday. He was born in Six Mile Run, son of the late William Clair and Roxie Mae (Bussard) Satterfield. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce (Putt) Satterfield; and a brother, Robert. Surviving are his wife, Merla; children: Keith and Trisha; several grandchildren; a foster sister, Lucy Stroud; stepchildren: Tim, Jonathan and Andrew Shaal; and two stepgrandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church St., Saxton; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday Nov. 15, 2025, at the funeral chapel.
