Gertrude "Kay" (Helsel) Merritts, 86, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Clyde and Anna (Kifer) Helsel. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and a son, Tom. Surviving is her daughter, Brenda Merritts; two sons, Brian and Troy Merritts; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to dance and take care of others. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow.
