Barry J. Bollinger, 74, Altoona, passed away Monday at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late James and Pauline (Zimmerman) Bollinger.
Surviving are his loving wife, Melissa (Chilcote) Bollinger; a son, Ryan Bollinger; a brother, Kim Bollinger and wife, Deborah; nieces, Christina and Lisa Reedy; and his beloved fur babies, Bella and Mia.
He received his associate's degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University and worked at Electric Motor and Supply as an industrial sales engineer. Because of his entrepreneurial spirit and love of ballroom dancing, he was the former owner and operator of Dancenergy Ballroom Dancing School.
At Barry's request, there will be no viewing or services.
A very special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and caregivers for the care they provided so that Barry could remain in his own home.
