Azure ‘BJ’ Seno Montaig

Azure “BJ” Seno Montaig, 74, of Hollidaysburg, died at her home on Oct. 8, 2025. She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of the late Lawrence J. Woolheater and Elizabeth Snyder Woolheater.
A graduate of Penn State University, receiving a BS in education, Azure taught in the Hollidaysburg Area School District, retiring after
30 years. She was a much sought after teacher — parents would request that their child be assigned to her class. With her inclusive and creative teaching style, she encouraged every child to learn to their fullest potential.
Azure was known for her exquisite singing voice and her dynamic thespian performance style. She was the lead in many theatrical and musical shows performing in Summer Theater at Cresson Lake Playhouse, and various local and regional theaters. Singing and music inspired her life and provided many joyful moments to her audiences. Azure loved and rescued many dogs and cats throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence C. Woolheater.
Surviving are her children: Luke Seno, Matt Seno and Jin Seno Glover; and her cousins: Anne A. Taliff, Eleanor “Honey” Corbin, David B. Corbin and Charles G. Appleby. Her beloved cat, Quincy, has been adopted by friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at the Hillcrest Apartments, 1010 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg, with the Rev. Hamer presiding. Interment will be at the discretion of the family at a later date.
