Andrew E. Quirin Jr., 83, of Altoona, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 14, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. Andrew was born in Altoona to the late Ann (Fronauer) and the late Andrew E. Quirin Sr.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by the love of his life, Susan M. (Hatch) Quirin, whom he married at St. Marks Catholic Church on Sept. 30, 1967; as well as a brother, Henry Quirin; a sister, Maryann Tanneyhill; and a grandson, Zachary Reed.
Andrew is survived by his loving children: Laurie S. (Jim) Pattie, Andrew R. Quirin, Jennifer (Jason) Quirin and Andrew "Zeke" (Kaitlin) Quirin, all of Altoona; his siblings: Carol Moore, Gloria Talasky, Lorriane (Bill) Brutsche and Raymond (Vera) Quirin; his grandchildren: Mandy, Ashley, Nathan, Sarah and Anna; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Andrew went to Altoona High School. Shortly after, he served our country as a United States Marine.
After the Marines, he specialized in being a heavy equipment operator.
Andrew was a man of faith and the main priority in life was to be a provider for his family. He loved his family, and he loved his animals -- especially his cats.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
