The Rev. Jay A. Saxe, 90, of Port Matilda, formerly of Everett, passed away Monday at Wynwood House, State College. He was born in Sweet Valley, Pa., son of the late Rev. Oscar Saxe and Jessie (Harvey) Saxe. His wife, Nancy, preceded him in death. He is survived by children, Steven Saxe and Laurie Richards; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five sisters. Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. memorial service Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at Everett United Methodist Church, 221 E. Main St., Everett. Arrangements are by Akers Funeral Home Inc., Everett.
