Rod E. Yerty, 72, of Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Carl W. and Ruth E. (Knipple) Yerty.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Vicki (Jenkins); three daughters: Jennifer Jones and husband, Dr. Shawn, of Duncansville; Lisa Musselman and husband, Ryan, of Imler; and Shauna Page and partner, Russel, of Roaring Spring; a son, Travis Bush and wife, Amber, of Altoona; a brother, Dwayne and wife, Jane, of Altoona; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Bush in 2018; a brother, Jay; and a sister, Paula J. Wirfel.
Rod graduated from Central High School in 1971, and was a partner in the family business, Yerty Auto Salvage, in Roaring Spring.
He attended Journey Church and enjoyed watching the Steelers, boating, fishing and helping people.
Friends will be received from noon until 2 and from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, with Pastor Anthony Baker officiating.
Interment will be at Holsinger Cemetery.
