Richard Ross Hillard, 58, of Altoona, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at UPMC Altoona. He was born on March 24, 1967, in Altoona, son of Marlene (Stiffler) Mock and the late Richard Hillard.
Along with his mother, he is survived by daughter, Autumn Emsweiler; stepfather, Jerrold Mock; siblings: Wanda Weyant (Brick), Barbara Hillard, Dawn (Ron) Heller, Sherry (Chris) Elling and Paul (Brittany) Mock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard was a graduate of Altoona High School Class of 1985. After graduating, he went on to serve in The United States Army from 1985-88.
Richard worked construction for M & H Wood Specialties, LTD, in Canada. He enjoyed spending time building models, collecting dragons and Dale Earnhardt memorabilia and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan.
A graveside service will be held at a later date with Military Honors being conducted by The Blair County Honor Guard.
