Phyllis Elaine (Gibboney) Hultman, 95, a resident of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, went to meet the Lord on Saturday. She was born in Altoona to late parents, Marguerite and James W. Gibboney.
Phyllis married William C. Hultman in 1973. They shared many happy years until his passing on Sept. 7,
1994. She was also predeceased by daughters: Elaine Walters of Lancaster, Beth Ellen Goetz of Hollidaysburg and Michele Hultman Jacobson of Buffalo, N.Y., all sadly missed and taken much too early from this life; and both her siblings, Jean Weiksner of Lancaster and Dr. Richard Gibboney of Birchrunville.
Surviving are children: Eve Ruscio of Scituate, Mass., William Hultman of Alexandria, Va., Cathy Madisen of Anaheim, Calif. and Madonna Devling of Newport Beach, Calif.; along with 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was a devoted mother. She volunteered at the Altoona Hospital Gift Shop and was an active member of the ARC of Blair County, Altoona Women's Club, Hollidaysburg Garden Club and Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of Blair County Symphony League, Zion Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle and the Red Hat Gems Society. Phyllis played games and cards in her retirement community and shared her kind loving spirit with those around her. Her love of the Lord was her guiding light.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
