Lillian M. "Teenie" Noel, 85, Altoona, passed away Tuesday morning, surrounded by her family at her residence. Lillian was born in St. Augustine, daughter of the late Marcellus and Helena (Adams) Adams.
Teenie married Thomas C. Noel in December of 1960. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1986.
She is survived by her three daughters: Tina Tilson of Fallentimber, Kelly Rosenberry (Meg Watt) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Lynn Hurst (Steven) of Leesville, S.C.; two grandsons, Matthew and Nathan Morrison; her brother, Edgar "Ted" Adams; two sisters, Millie Turnbull and Thelma Donohue; her significant other, Joseph Warren; and many nieces and nephews.
Teenie was preceded in death by 16 siblings: Leona Hertzberg, Thomas Adams, Marguerite Hricko, Donald Adams, Betty Niebauer, Robert Adams, Paul Adams, Doris Adams, Russell Adams, James Adams, Patrick Adams, Raymond Adams, Shirley Drzal, Harold Adams, Clarence "Bugs" Adams and Naomi Adams.
She was a long-time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Ashville.
Teenie was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Ashville VFW, the Bavarian Aid Society, Newburg Fire Hall and the Bellwood Eagles.
She loved playing cards, going to casinos, puzzling, playing bingo and spending time with her family, especially her numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Ashville, with Father Justin P. Treon, celebrant.
Committal will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Ashville.
The family suggests that contributions be made in Teenie's memory to Bavarian Aid Society, 112 S. 13th St., Altoona, PA 16602.
