Laurel Diane (Clark) DeStefano

June 1, 1948 – Oct. 19, 2025

Laurel Diane (Clark) DeStefano, 77, passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2025, at home in Naples, Fla. She was born to Clyde and Mary Lou (Howser) Clark in Cumberland, Md., and raised in Martinsburg.

Laurel graduated from Central High School in 1966, John Brown University in Arkansas and Hahnemann Medical School, where she met her future husband, Joseph. They married in 1972.

Joe and Laurel practiced family medicine in the Cove with Dr. Bridenbaugh before leaving the area and eventually settling in Carmel, Ind.

Laurel loved to learn, loved music, art, cooking and gardening. She loved God, always had time for others and was a counselor to many.

Surviving are her husband; eight children; 18 grandchildren; siblings: Ginger Neil (Ray) of Claysburg, Kirby (Carol) of Imler, Brian (Gerri) of Wyalusing, Pa.; and her mother, at Homewood Living, Martinsburg.

A private service will be held in Westfield, Indiana.
