Laquita A. (Mignot) Potts, 84, of Tipton, passed away Friday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring. She was born in Philipsburg, daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Ellis) Mignot.
In January 1965, she married her love, the late Glenn R. Potts Sr.
She is survived by her children: James Brett Potts and wife, Jean, of Altoona; and Anita Potts and fiance, Russell Bradford, of Tipton; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Potts of Martinsburg; grandchildren: Austin Desch, Chase Bradford, Chelsea (Justin) Houp, Aaron (Amber) Potts, Talina Sager, Anthony Weaver, Joshua Potts and Kim Fagan; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; her adopted grandson, Matthew Lardieri; sisters, Anita
Wilson of Altoona and Veronica Sue Benson in Virginia; brothers: Frank Mignot in Florida, Jeff (Betsy) Mignot of Osceola Mills and David (Michelle) Mignot of Morrisdale; and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Potts Jr.; brothers, Jim and Greg Mignot; and a grandson, Theodore Weaver.
Laquita worked 50 years as a registered nurse at the Tyrone Hospital, where she took care of thousands of people. She took pride in her job.
Laquita was a loving grandmother and mother and will be missed beyond words.
Friends will be received from 4 until the 5 p.m. memorial service Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating.
