John M. McMahon, 72, of Petersburg, passed away Oct. 16, 2025, at his home. He was born in Huntingdon, son of the late William T. and Irene J. (Haulman) McMahon.
Surviving are his daughter, Amanda S. Craig (Daniel Jr.) of Hawesville, Ky.; three grandsons: Anthony, Adam and Daniel III; and a brother, William T. McMahon Jr.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Harold.
John was a heavy equipment operator for the Pennsylvania Railroad and its successors, Conrail and Norfolk Southern.
He enjoyed hunting, especially for deer.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of his family.
