Gene Lewis Gates, 86, Ebensburg, formerly of Flinton, died Saturday. He was born in Beaver Valley, son of the late Rhudell W. and Mary C. (Foster) Gates. On Nov. 9, 1957, he married Elaine A. "Polly" Lewis. He is survived by five children: Richard, Brian, Kevin, Duane and Debra; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; and brothers: James, Marvin, George and Clarence. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, and from 11 until the noon funeral service Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
