Donna Jean Romano, 88, of Tyrone, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Michael and
Elizabeth (Hallman) Stefano.
On Sept. 8, 1956, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, she married Leonard Peter Romano Sr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2023.
She is survived by her three children: Luann Romano (Thomas) Pagianite, Mary Romano (James) Domenick and Leonard P. Romano Jr.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Donna was a 1955 graduate of Tyrone High School, and worked as a nurse's aide at Epworth Manor.
She was a lifetime member of St. Matthews Catholic Church.
Donna loved reading, search-a-word puzzles, her TV shows and yard work. She always helped everyone. Her husband and family were her whole life.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, with Father Michael Pleva officiating. Interment will be made at Oak Grove Cemetery.
