Daniel N. Zimmerman, 57, of Roaring Spring, went home to meet his Savior on Wednesday after an almost three-year cancer journey. He was born in Leola, son of Jacob and Susan (Nolt) Zimmerman.
He leaves behind his wife, Naomi (Horst); six children: David Zimmerman (Naomi), Arlene Zeiset (Michael), Andrew Zimmerman (Jane), Marvin Zimmerman (MaryJane), Curvin Zimmerman (Malinda) and Rachel Zimmerman; and seven grandchildren: Alayna, Lavon, Krista, Lynelle, Eric, Karalie and Trevon, all of the Morrisons Cove.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie; a granddaughter, Jolene Faith; father, Jacob; brothers, Samuel and Ammon; and a sister, Lydia.
Daniel is also survived by his mother, Susan; siblings: Eva in Iowa, Amos (Sandi) of Leola, John (Elsie) in Iowa, Eli (Edna) in Iowa, Paul (Wilma) in Wisconsin, Mary (John B.) of Shippensburg, Ella (Joseph B.) in Kentucky, David (Mary) in Iowa, Aaron (Rosanne) of Carlise, Allen (Nancy) in Missouri and Susan (Elvin B.) of Shippensburg; and brother-in-law, Samuel M. in Wisconsin.
He was a member of Martinsburg Old Order Mennonite Church - Groffdale Conference. Daniel was the current owner of Zimmerman's Tack and Shoes and a former dairy farmer.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, at his late residence, 4227 Cove Mountain Road, Roaring Spring.
A funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at Old Order Mennonite Church, Cove Lane Road, Martinsburg. Interment will be at the Old Order Mennonite Church Cemetery, Martinsburg.
