Cleo Arlene (McConahy) Imler

Cleo Arlene (McConahy) Imler, 91, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday at Homewood at Martinsburg. She was born in

Williamsburg, daughter of the late Marion W. and Evaline A. (Showalter) McConahy.

Cleo was a graduate of Morrisons Cove High School-Bean Hill, Class of 1952.

She retired from General Cable and later worked in the Dietary Department at Nason Hospital.

Cleo enjoyed sewing, making quilted blankets, canning, vegetable gardening, photography and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, where she was active in the Ladies Group.

Cleo was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert A. Bernier, in April 1966; her second husband, Daniel R. Imler, in November 1978; and siblings: Ruth McConahy (infant), George McConahy, Naomi Over, Mary Smith Baker, John McConahy, Clarence McConahy, Dorothy Kensinger, Thelma Sollenberger and Berna Mae Dilling.

Surviving are daughter, Karen S. Snyder (Dennis) of Martinsburg; daughter, Janet A. Aungst (Charlie) of Antis Township; daughter, Jane E. Bernier of Altoona; son, Daniel R. Imler Jr. (Kim) of Duncansville; nine grandchildren;

18 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Donald McConahy, Janet Kipe, Pearl Schiappa, Mabel Sell, Anna Grace Bookhammer and Laura Fay.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at Bice Memorial Chapel-Homewood at Martinsburg, with the Rev. Gerald McCuller officiating.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Arrangements are by Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Martinsburg.
