Barbara Jean Kimberling, 68, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona. She was born to the late Alvin K. Hagerty and Evelyn (McMullen) Harshberger in Altoona.
On May 17, 1989, she united in marriage with Samuel J. Kimberling IV, in Roaring Spring.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel; as well as her siblings: Debra Hagerty of Lancaster, Darlene Smalls in Colorado, William Hagerty Sr. (Terry) of Altoona, Mark Hagerty of Altoona and Billy and Lisa Harshberger of Altoona. She is also remembered by her in-laws who include: mother-in-law, Helen F. Muir of Altoona; and siblings-in-law, Bonnie Ewry (Mike), Debbie Wood (Daniel), Terry Hagerty (Bill) and John Kimberling (Lisa); along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hagerty.

Barbara was a graduate of Altoona Area High School. She had a deep love for animals and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting and following NASCAR.
A celebration of her life will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona.
