Barbara E. Good was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William Albert and Dorothy (Wilson) Ebner. Barbara married William "Bill" Good on June 9, 1960. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1995.
She is survived by a daughter, Becky L. Good (Randy Feathers); and a son, William E. Good (Cathy Butterfield-Good). Barbara is also survived by her very dear companion of 25 years, Alex Trotta.
Barbara was raised in the family home of her cousins, Louis J., Anthony J. and John "Jack" Fanelli, who preceded her in death.
Barbara graduated from Altoona High School in 1955 and worked at Bell Telephone Co. until 1960. In 1960, she and Bill bought the Highland Fling, where she worked in the business and raised her family. In 1975, she returned to Bell Telephone, retiring in 2000 as a business representative.
She was regularly active in many charitable organizations, including the Bell Pioneers, which she still belonged to. Barbara was also a very active, previous member of St. James Lutheran Church for 79 years.
Barbara and Alex had a condo in Florida where they spent their winters. They traveled extensively to many countries and sailed on over 40 cruises. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain. She was a member of the Heidelberg Country Club, where she played pinochle twice a week and was also a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, in the Stevens Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Hamer.
Interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
