Stanley R. "Pete" McCully, 83, of Fallentimber, entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior on Monday. He was born in Irvona, son of the late Lloyd Stanley and Georgie Mae (Oakman) McCully.
On April 1, 1967, he married his bride of 52 years, Vicki (Miller), of Hollentown. She preceded him in death in 2019.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Alice Mae Schellhammer, Betty Jane Rogers and Jack McCully.
Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Noel, of Irvona; granddaughters, Paige Spangle (Scott) and Madison Noel; great-grandchildren, Noah and Cameron Spangle; and sisters, Georgie Jean Bailey of Dunlap, Tenn., and Edwina Easterwood of Livonia, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stanley was a member of the Irvona Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and canning, and always had a story to share. Above all else, he adored his family and will be deeply missed by them.
At Stanley's request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Irvona Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Baptist Cemetery in La Jose, Pa.
