Michael James Mortimer Jr., 35, Altoona, passed away early Friday morning after a tragic accident. He was born in Corona, Calif., son of Michael James Mortimer Sr. and Betty (Yerty) Clark.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Todd Clark; wife, Paula Mortimer; three sons: Michael III, Caleb and Benjamin; and siblings: Quentin Clark, Rochell Yerty, Willow Mortimer, Blade Mortimer, Cody McGee and Syndi Hall.
Michael worked at Weis Markets. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m.
Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to a funeral luncheon at Homers Gap Civic Center, 135 Preston Lane, Altoona.
