Larry ‘Wayne’ Loose

He married Paulette Gordon in 1970.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years; two daughters, Collette Holmes (Ken) of Huntingdon and Janell Byrnes (Ron) of Duncansville; a son, Layne in Vermont; five grandchildren: Joshua, Caleb, Courtney, Dalton and Marissa; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debbie Burket (Dan) and Carolyn Brumbaugh (Dennis); and two brothers, James Jr. (Connie) and Vaughn (Miriam).

He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin.

Wayne graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1963 and retired from Veeder-Root Co. in 2009, after 33 years as a Facilities Manager.

He was a member of the AMTMA Model Train Club and he enjoyed bowling at the Bavarian Aid Club. He liked gardening and wood working, and spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until noon Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at McConnellstown Church of the Nazarene, 5851 Newtown Ave., Huntingdon, where a Celebration of Life will immediately follow at noon.
