John D. "Denny" "Big D" Kreshalk Sr., 81, Cresson, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was a son of the late Metro J. and Isabel (Varelotte) Kreshalk.
Also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Kreshalk.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sally J. (Thomas) Kreshalk; children: Andrea (Mark) Folcarelli, Melissa (Tony) Zembrowski, Dennis "Video" (Erika) Kreshalk and Michele (Scott) Michaels; grandchildren: Ross, Elizabeth, Samantha, Dylan, Kendahl and Charley; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Denny was a proud veteran, serving in the Army National Guard.
In his spare time, he loved going to the casino. Denny also enjoyed taking care of produce, especially fruit, and was known as "The Fruit Doctor."
He was also known to be social, connecting with everyone he knew. Most importantly, Denny treasured spending time with his family and buddies: Jim, Justin and Denny.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 233 Keystone Ave., Cresson.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Military honors provided by the Blair County Honor Guard.
