Janet K. (Straney) Curran

Janet K. (Straney) Curran, 79, of Altoona, passed away on Wednesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in Homestead, the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Herbert) Straney. She was married to John "Paul" Curran. She was previously married to Addison Dillig Jr. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Along with her husband, she is survived by daughter, Paula Frishman and her husband, Scott of Arlington, Va., and son, Jeff Dillig of Altoona; stepchildren, Patrick Curran and Jennifer Curran, both of Maryland; stepgrandchildren, Alexis Moore and Evan Curran; a brother, Robert "Bob" Straney and his wife, Mary Jo, of Butler; also cousins, a niece and nephew.

Janet was a graduate of Homestead High School, Class of 1964. She was mostly recently employed by Calibre Residential as property manager for Wolf Court Apartments, a position she held for the last 11 years.

She was a past board member of The Altoona Symphony and enjoyed many trips to Cape May, N.J., and going on cruises with Paul, spending time with her family and friends and taking care of her Pomeranian dog, "Cuppy."

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, at 11 a.m. Prayers will be offered at noon followed by entombment held privately at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
