Earl C. Moore, 83, Tipton, formerly of Hornell, N.Y., passed away Saturday at his home.
He was born in Hornell, N.Y., son of the late Kenneth and Winifred (Todd) Moore. On Aug. 13, 1965, he married Linda Kay Pauly in Hornell, N.Y.
Earl is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years; his five children:
Christopher (Kelli) Moore, Elaine (Bill) Foor, Marnie (Bob) ODonnell, Andrea (Chad) Christine and Teri (Clay) O'Shell; eight grandchildren: Kaylee, Wilson, Sierra, Easton, Weston,
Elijah, Seth and Emma; and a sister, Mary Ann Burger.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Todd.
Earl was a 1959 graduate of Hornell High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. For 35 years, he worked in the quality control departments within the railroad industry, retiring as a supervisor at Conrail. He also served as an auditor for the Association of American Railroads for ten years. He was a member of Tipton Baptist Church.
Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing on the church softball team.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Pastor Jason Mauk officiating.
Interment with military honors will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in Earl's memory be made to Tipton Baptist Church.
