Sue A. Tritle, 78, of Bellwood, died Sunday evening, Aug. 17, 2025, at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone after a brief illness. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Irvin R. Sr. and Anna L. (Peters) Parks.
She married Harry E. Tritle Jr. on April 2, 1967, in Altoona. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 2015.
Surviving are three daughters: Kendra S. O'Neill (John) of Key West, Fla., Lori L. Ickes (Bernie) of Altoona and Holly J. Baney (Michael) of Altoona; five grandchildren: Brady H. Emeigh, Kacie L. Emeigh, Marisol O'Neill, Josie O'Neill and Zachary H. Plotts; and a brother, Irvin R. "Pink" Parks Jr. (Barbara) of Alexandria.
Sue was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald E. Plotts; and a grandson, Hayden E. Plotts.
Mrs. Tritle was a member of Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood.
She was a graduate of Bellwood High School, and retired as a teller with Mid-State Bank following 11 years' service.
She enjoyed quilting, especially with her husband, sewing and dancing.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., with Pastor Nathan Koozer officiating. Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park.
