Sandra J. "Sandy" Brantner, 78, of Altoona, passed away Friday at The Presbyterian Village in Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Monroe Knorr and Marion (Clark) Lightner.
She was united in marriage to the late John Brantner Sr.
She is survived by children: Tammy Mowery; Terrie Johnson, married to Craig Jr.; and John Brantner Jr., married to Rita; grandchildren: Jimmy Mowery, Matthew Johnson, Jonathan Brantner, Joshua Luther, Chelsea Jones, Jacob Mowery, Megan Brantner, Jarrod Luther and Jessica Mowery; great-grandchildren: Emmilyn Morgan, Levi Morgan,
Conner Jones and Colson Trinkley; siblings, Kevin Knorr and Debra Montane; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Luther.
Sandy spent her working years taking care of the home and raising her family.
Friends and family will be received from 5 until the 7 p.m. service Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, with Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating.
Burial will be held privately at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
