Romayne Grace (Pittman) DiAndrea, 82, of Altoona, passed away Monday at Celebration Villa, Duncansville. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Marie (Ashburn) Pittman.
Romayne is survived by two daughters, Paige Bast of Altoona and Kristin Miller (James) of Bellwood;
stepdaughter, Pamela DiAndrea of Duncansville; three grandchildren: Ava Grace, Samuel James Miller and Ellis Mayne Bast. Also surviving are cousins: Shirley (Ashburn) Wiseman, Rich Ashburn (Debbie) and Tom Ashburn.
She was preceded in death by her beloved aunt, Grace Romayne "Muzz" Grimme; an uncle, John Raymond "Boad" Ashburn; and cousin, Raymond Ashburn.
Romayne was a 1961 graduate of Altoona High School and attended the Altoona Business School.
She worked at WFBG TV from 1961-69 and retired as the office manager for DiAndrea Media.
She was a member of Silver Sneakers, where she made many friends that she enjoyed having "margarita's" with after their work outs.
She never met a stranger and was loved by all who had the privilege of spending time with her. She loved nothing more than spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and dancing, especially to Elvis tunes.
She also left behind 18,000 "pocka books" for her kids to deal with. Mom, we hope that you find the perfect "pocka book" someday.
Friends will be received from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. in the Stevens Memorial Chapel.
Interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park.
The family kindly requests contributions be made in Romayne's memory to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602 (centralpahumane.org).
