It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Peter Donald Delricco, who left this world at the age of 87, surrounded by love and peace.
Born in Altoona, Pete brought kindness, laughter and quiet strength into the lives of all who knew him.
A 1956 graduate of Altoona High School, Pete went on to study electrical engineering at Penn State before serving in the U.S. Air Force. He served his country with four years of active-duty service and four years of inactive service.
In 1962, Pete married his high school sweetheart, Helen Fraundorfer, and moved to State College, where they raised two children and made a lasting home.
Pete worked at HRB-Singer, and later Raytheon for 36 years, holding increasingly responsible positions. In addition, he was one of six original members who founded the Science Park Employee Credit Union (SPE).
He was a devoted Catholic and a faithful member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Grays Woods. He also served as a board member of the Independent Catholic Foundation for Altoona-Johnstown and as president of the Nittany Valley Lodge of the Sons of Italy.
Pete is survived by his two children, Beth Delricco (Ron) and Mark Delricco (Nancy); and by his four grandsons: Andrew Papa, Daniel Papa, Vince Delricco and Matthew Delricco.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Delricco.
A celebration of Pete's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Grays Woods. For all who knew and loved him, a reception and celebration will follow from 1 to 4 p.m. at Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg.
