Campbell

Michelle Renee Campbell, 51, of Hollidaysburg, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, in Kittanning. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of James R. and Kathryn A. (Dougherty) Torsell.

Michelle is survived by her loving daughter, Lydia P. (Marty Myers) Campbell; a granddaughter, Ramona; the love of her life, Brett Karns; her parents; three siblings: Joanna (Mitch) Jennings, Shane (Harmony) and Vince (Brittany) Torsell; nephews and niece: Nick (Allie) Torsell, Nate and Christian Jennings, Alex, Sarah, Cameron and Andy Torsell.

She also leaves behind countless friends, students and approximately 10,000 pieces of clothes and shoes for her loved ones to sort through.

Michelle was a 1992 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. After graduation from Penn State University, she began her career as a lifelong educator, currently as a teacher at Bellwood-Antis Middle School.

An avid lover of nature, she was happiest while camping, boating and especially fishing.

Michelle was particularly hard to make contact with this summer while she was jetting off to Hawaii, Oak Island in North Carolina, Colorado, Kinzua and the Karns hunting camp. She was looking forward to visiting her favorite place on this continent, Nicholson Island.

Michelle was an incredibly talented artist, and she had a way of making any place feel like home.

She was a wordsmith, a free spirit and most importantly was a fierce, unapologetic protector of those she loved. She was the best mom and "Glammy" in the world.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at the funeral home.

The family suggests that contributions in Michelle's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
